All courses include online coursework with additional in-class evolutions. Participants will be eligible for employment after successfully completing the online work and course sessions.

Make a difference! Become a CNA with HeartCert! The HeartCert Nursing Assistant Training Program offers students a chance to learn in a hands-on environment under the eyes of experienced licensed nurses, bolstered by a curriculum that meets or exceeds federal and state standards.

Graduates of the program are eligible to take the state CNA competency examination. After successful completion of the state exam (additional state testing fees may apply) you will be listed on the state Nurse Aide Registry. The state competency exam includes both a written examination and a skills evaluation. The purpose of the state exam is to make sure that the graduate understands and can safely perform in the role of an entry-level nurse assistant.

Additional Course Information

HeartCert CNA Training courses have several components. Students must pass all portions of the training in order to graduate.

*Now offering ESL – English as a second language support/preparation that can be added at checkout as well as test prep sessions! Information can be found at checkout, by contacting us or this link.

  1. Blended learning – Students will first complete required hours of online training required prior to the listed in-classroom dates. Access to the online material will be granted soon after registration. Those who do not complete the online portion will not be allowed into the in-person sessions and must reschedule.
  2. Classroom learning / lab and clinicals – after completing the online portion of the class, students will attend required hours of classroom training, including skills testing and supervised practicals.
  3. After successful completion of steps 1 and 2, students may apply for employment and/or register for the state exam for licensure (or certification in IA) if applicable. All information for state testing will be provided after your course.

Prerequisites: Students must be 16 years of age or older. Scrubs and masks are required for in-person sessions. Feel free to contact our office with any questions. Though not a prerequisite for CNA training, it is highly recommended that you also have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification card. This is required by most employers and is a separate class/certification. Information on options to take this course (if needed/desired) will be emailed prior to your course and can be found here or by selecting BLS from the navigation menu on our website.

Please read our cancellation and rescheduling policy prior to registration here.

Please see state information on reimbursement of training costs here. (MN)

To enroll, click register next to your preferred in-person session. The dates listed in each session are all mandatory. When selecting an in-person session, keep in mind that all hours of online coursework MUST be able to be completed in time for your first in-person date. Please allow yourself enough time for this. Online access is granted within 1-2 business days of your registration-via email.
