-My name is Tim Smith and I started HeartCert in 2010 when I was working as a Firefighter/EMT and was conducting training classes from my living room in St. Paul MN. I quickly grew this one man training operation into multiple states, grossing over 7 figures of sales annually. Over this time I have learned a LOT of things, I have made a lot of mistakes, but I have also developed a lot of great networks and systems to help make the business side of training mostly automated, which allows time to work on the business instead of for the business. I have healthcare, Firefighter/EMT, and business experience along with a double major, bachelor of science degree(s) in Public Administration and Political Science (and Associates in Fire Technician/EMT). I’d love to help you with the knowledge I’ve acquired regarding: Websites, registrations, taxes, insurance, SEO, advertisements, hiring, payroll, sales, how to navigate AHA, ARC, etc and much more. I don’t claim to know it all (I’m still learning every day) but I am confident that others can benefit from this knowledge and experience. -I know, it seems to good to be true, so here is why I am doing it:

1. I truly do enjoy helping others. That’s why I got into Firefighting and then CPR training. Giving advice and consultation to others gives me a chance to get in touch with my ‘roots’ and feel personally and professionally fulfilled by directly helping others.
2. We all need goals, one of my goals is to someday start a ‘real’ small business consulting agency/business. I want to get experience as to what that is like which would help me get some experience in this arena to help achieve this goal someday.
3. I very well may learn something from you too and I love connecting with like-minded people!
